How do I apply for a visa?
Applicants from countries that have a visa-free regime with Russia, to enter its territory, it is enough to present a foreign passport. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Tajikistan, Ukraine, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Latvia do not need to apply for a visa.
Citizens of other countries need to apply for a study visa, which can be obtained with an invitation. The visa is issued by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Federal Migration Service. If the applicant entered according to the quota, the invitation is issued by the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo. If the applicant will study on the basis of a contract for the provision of paid educational services, the invitation is issued by the university.
