OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

Despite the fact that 2020 has changed us, the life of foreign students of the preparatory department, foreign students and teachers of NNGASU is full of events. As before, there are wide opportunities for foreign students and students to express themselves. We participate in bright events and creative projects, meet interesting people from different countries, gain new experience.

Every year, students of the preparatory department of NNGASU take part in the international Olympiad in Russian as a foreign language "Lobachevsky/RU", organized by the Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N. I. Lobachevsky. The Olympiad has already been held twice in a remote format. In the first stage, the participants had to complete a test of their knowledge of the Russian language and culture of Russia, as well as prepare a video with a story about themselves. The second stage was a competition of presentation projects on one of the selected topics. The participants prepared presentations and videos of their oral presentations.

Taleb Suhail (Morocco) spoke about the amazing traditions of his country and became the winner of the Olympic Games in 2020.

Lopez Alvarez Ana Marcela (Guatemala) chose the theme "Unusual holidays of my country" and took 3rd place.

Elhaggar Issam (Egypt) – winner of the 2021 Lobachevsky/RU Olympiad, creatively approached the tasks and took 2nd place. In his video presentation, he inserted a musical fragment from his favorite Russian film "Moscow does not Believe in Tears"(directed by Vladimir Menshov), which he performed on a stringed plucked instrument.

In May 2021, the Volga Research Medical University hosted the Olympiad in Russian as a foreign language and regional country studies "800 years over the Volga and Oka". The Olympiad was dedicated to a significant date in the history of Nizhny Novgorod.

The Olympiad was held in the format of a quest. As part of the Olympiad, a competition of readers was held.

The participants of the quest Berger Oguzkhan (Turkey) and El hagar Essam (Egypt) demonstrated their knowledge of the history and cultural attractions of Nizhny Novgorod. The NNGASU team took the 3rd place.

A student of the preparatory department Kan Bilun (Turkey) read a poem by Sergei Chekmarev "About Nizhny Novgorod". Her performance was bright and emotional.

Shakib Fatima (Morocco) participated in the All-Russian essay contest "Distance learning of a foreign language: a view from the other side" (MADI, Moscow). In her work, she described the advantages and disadvantages of online learning for foreign students.

Foreign students of the preparatory department of NNGASU took part in the XI International Festival of National Cultures "In this big world", which was held in April 2021 on the basis of the Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University in an online format. The festival included a series of events aimed at expanding and deepening the ideas of students about the diversity of national cultures, the specifics of traditions and customs of the peoples of the world, as well as strengthening spiritual and moral values and fostering tolerance among young people.

Abanoz Emre (Turkey) chose the topic "My favorite Russian film "to participate in the essay contest.

Berker Oguzkhan (Turkey) in his work revealed the theme "My favorite national holiday" and became the winner in this nomination.

Traditionally, NNGASU is one of the venues for the All-Russian Science Festival. In the 2020-2021 academic year, due to the difficult epidemiological situation, the participants of this event made their reports, answered questions, entered into discussions in the ZOOM-conference mode, for which they were awarded diplomas and certificates.
